Job Title: Procurement/inventory officer Location: On-site Employment Type: Full-time Reports To: Creative Assistant and Production Manager Job Summary We are a luxury couture brand specializing in high-end, handcrafted beaded outfits, bridal corsets, wedding dresses, and bespoke ceremonial pieces. We are seeking a highly organized and trustworthy Procurement and Inventory Officer to manage sourcing, purchasing, stock control, and material movement within our factory. The Procurement and Inventory Officer will be responsible for purchasing fabrics and accessories, maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely availability of production materials, and supporting smooth factory operations. This role requires strong market knowledge, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work efficiently under the direction of the Creative Assistants. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Sourcing Source, purchase, and negotiate prices for fabrics, beads, embellishments, accessories, and other production materials. Run production-related errands, including visiting fabric markets and suppliers as directed. Ensure materials purchased meet the brand’s quality standards and design specifications. Build and maintain relationships with trusted suppliers and vendors. Track market prices and advise on cost-effective sourcing options. Inventory & Stock Management Maintain accurate records of all materials received, issued, and remaining in stock. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of fabrics and accessories. Monitor stock levels and proactively report low or depleted items. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with records. Prevent loss, misuse, or damage of materials within the factory. Factory Support & Coordination Work closely with the Creative Assistants to understand production needs and timelines. Issue materials to tailors and artisans strictly based on approval and production plans. Support smooth production flow by ensuring materials are available when needed. Report procurement, inventory, or supply challenges promptly to the Creative Assistants. Documentation & Reporting Prepare daily and weekly procurement and inventory reports. Maintain receipts, invoices, and purchase records for accountability. Support cost tracking and budget control for materials. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of SSCE / OND / HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Fashion Production, or a related field. Proven experience in procurement, inventory, or storekeeping (fashion or production environment preferred). Strong knowledge of local fabric markets and suppliers. Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. High level of honesty, accountability, and attention to detail. Ability to run errands efficiently and manage time effectively. Physically fit and able to move materials when required.
