Pelletizer operator

JOB SUMMARY The Pelletizer Operator is responsible for converting washed plastic flakes into pellets using the pelletizing line, ensuring consistent quality and meeting daily production targets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate and monitor the pelletizing line: extruder, water bath, cutter, and dryer • Lead the pelletizing team and ensure proper and safe handling of the pelletizing machine • Feed plastic flakes into the extruder and control temperature and screw speed • Observe safety protocols while feeding the machine and avoid waste during production • Ensure proper cooling, cutting, and drying to achieve uniform pellet size • Conduct quality checks on pellet size, moisture content, and contamination • Bag and label finished pellets for storage and sales • Carry out basic cleaning and maintenance of pelletizer equipment • Record production data and report machine faults to the maintenance team, following up until resolved • Ability to troubleshoot issues before the arrival of a technician • Required to clock in attendance daily DAY / HOURS Shift rotation, Monday–Friday: 8am–6pm (morning shift) or 8pm–6am (night shift) Saturday: same shift rotation as weekdays – 8am–6pm (morning shift) or 8pm–6am (night shift) Sunday: off TARGET BASIS • Kg of pellets produced per shift REQUIREMENTS • 5+ years' experience operating pelletizing lines in a plastic recycling factory • Knowledge of the recycling process for PP, HDPE, and LDPE plastic types • Ability to troubleshoot the pelletizer • Physically fit for manual handling of bags • Safety conscious and able to work in shifts
