Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Teacher to join our team.You will be responsible for homeschooling preschool-aged children, offering foundational education tailored to their developmental stages, and providing academic support and guidance to older children who attend formal schools. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging homeschool lessons for preschoolers, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social skills. Provide after-school tutoring and academic support to older children (ages 5-10) in subjects such as reading, math, and homework assistance. Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that caters to each child’s individual needs. Collaborate with social worker and caregivers to monitor and support children’s overall progress and development. Maintain records of children’s academic achievements and share regular updates with the management. Foster a love for learning and help develop children’s confidence and curiosity. Assist with organizing educational activities, outings, and enrichment programs and other events within the organisation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Early Childhood Development (or equivalent). Proven experience in teaching or homeschooling young children. Familiarity with various teaching methods, including child-centered approaches. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children of different ages. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to live on-site and integrate into the orphanage community.
