Role OverviewThe Senior Bespoke Tailor will serve as a custodian of craftsmanship, responsible for producing garments that meet global luxury benchmarks in precision, structure, and finish. The role demands mastery of hand-tailoring techniques, advanced pattern construction, and a refined understanding of luxury fabrics and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesBespoke Craftsmanship & Technical ExcellenceExecute fully bespoke and made-to-measure garments from first measurement to final delivery.Draft, cut, and refine bespoke patterns for men, women, and children.Construct luxury garments including:Two-piece and three-piece suitsSafari jackets and suitsStructured jackets, trousers, waistcoats, and formalwearApply hand-tailoring techniques such as:Canvas constructionHand-padding lapelsPick stitchingMilanese buttonholesHand-set collars and sleevesPerform multiple fittings (baste, forward, final) with exceptional precision.Fabric Handling & Material KnowledgeDemonstrate advanced knowledge of luxury textiles including:Super wool fabricsLinen, cotton, cashmere, silk blendsTropical and lightweight suiting materials Quality Assurance & Luxury StandardsMaintain immaculate finishing across all garments.Inspect garments against international luxury quality benchmarks.Ensure structural integrity, comfort, durability, and aesthetic excellence.Deliver garments that reflect timeless elegance and brand identity.Client Experience & DiscretionSupport fittings with professional etiquette and confidentiality.Understand and interpret client lifestyle, posture, and preferences.Make expert recommendations on fit, construction, and finishing.Uphold discretion when working with high-profile and VIP clients.Atelier Leadership & CollaborationAct as a technical reference point within the atelier.Mentor junior tailors and apprentices to uphold luxury standards.Collaborate closely with designers, cutters, and production leads.Contribute to continuous improvement of atelier processes.Operational ExcellenceMaintain tools, equipment, and workspaces to luxury atelier standards.Ensure timelines are respected without compromising craftsmanship.Support quality control documentation and production reporting where required.Required Skills & CompetenciesExceptional proficiency in bespoke tailoring and hand-finishing.Deep understanding of international luxury tailoring standards.Precision, patience, and uncompromising attention to detail.Ability to work independently in a high-pressure luxury environment.Strong time discipline and atelier professionalism.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Qualifications & BackgroundMinimum 10–15 years of continuous professional tailoring experience.Experience in a luxury fashion house, bespoke atelier, or international tailoring environment is mandatory.Formal training, apprenticeship, or international exposure is a strong advantage.Personal AttributesPassion for heritage craftsmanship and modern luxury.Discreet, dependable, and ethically grounded.A perfectionist mindset aligned with brand excellence.Commitment to continuous skill refinement.
