Skilled Upholsterer

Responsibilities:

1. Upholster a variety of furniture items, including sofas, chairs, and ottomans, according to design specifications.
2. Measure, cut, and sew fabric or leather to cover furniture, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
3. Repair or replace worn-out or damaged upholstery on existing furniture pieces.
4. Collaborate with designers and other team members to understand project requirements and material selections.
5. Use hand tools and sewing machines proficiently to achieve high-quality upholstery work.
6. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance skills and contribute innovative ideas.
8. Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
9. Manage inventory of upholstery materials and communicate restocking needs.

Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an upholsterer, preferably in a furniture manufacturing setting.
2. Proficiency in using hand tools, sewing machines, and other upholstery equipment.
3. Strong knowledge of various upholstery materials, fabrics, and leather.
4. Detail-oriented with excellent measuring and cutting skills.
5. Ability to interpret design specifications and work collaboratively in a team.
6. Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
7. Physical dexterity and stamina to handle the demands of the job.
