Job description & requirements for Production manager/Cutter
1) Work closely with the Creative Director to have a thorough understanding about client's specification for each design & sketch designs when necessary.
2) Interpreting designs and determining materials needed for the production of the design.
3) Cut patterns on fabric and lining.
4) Collect the tailoring materials needed for each design from the storekeeper and package with the already cut fabric and lining before handing over to the joiner.
5) Supervise the joiners and beaders to ensure they meet up design & fit requirements.
6) Always be creative and detail
oriented.
7) Always ensure that the entire production team meet up with deadlines.
8) Attending fitting sessions to ensure changes are recorded and executed accordingly to resolve fit and quality issues.
9) Have good knowledge of different types of fabrics and how to work with them.
