Job summary: A Pattern Drafter is responsible for creating accurate and precise patterns used in the production of garments. They will be working closely with the designer and production teams to ensure that patterns meet design specifications, fit requirements, and production standards. This role is critical in translating creative ideas into manufacturable clothing products. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with designer to interpret sketches and garment specifications. • Draft, develop, and modify garment patterns manually • Ensure patterns meet design, fit, and production requirements while maintaining garment aesthetics and functionality. • Create pattern layouts for efficient fabric usage and cost optimization. • Adjust and grade patterns to various sizes based on size charts and production specifications. • Conduct fit sessions and make necessary pattern adjustments to achieve the desired garment fit. • Maintain detailed records of pattern changes and technical specifications. • Work closely with sample makers to resolve production or fit issues. • Ensure that patterns comply with manufacturing and quality standards. • Stay updated on the latest pattern-making trends, techniques, and software advancements.
