Overview: A Furniture Installer is responsible for the assembly, installation, and placement of furniture in residential, commercial, or institutional settings. Key Responsibilities: • Furniture Assembly & Installation: • Assemble, install, and secure various types of furniture, including office desks, chairs, cabinets, shelving units, and custom-built pieces. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation manuals. • Ensure proper alignment and functionality of installed furniture. • Site Preparation & Safety Compliance: • Measure and mark installation areas to ensure precision. • Prepare workspaces by clearing debris and ensuring a safe environment. • Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment as needed. • Transportation & Handling: • Load, unload, and transport furniture to installation sites. • Inspect furniture for damage before and after delivery. • Use proper handling techniques to prevent damage to furniture and property. • Customer Service & Communication: • Interact professionally with clients, contractors, and team members. • Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction with the installation. • Provide guidance on furniture care and maintenance when necessary. • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: • Identify and fix minor defects or installation issues. • Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed. • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
