Business Development Officer Duties:
• Build existing and develop new business relationships
• Create, monitor, and report on key performance metrics to determine effectiveness of sales efforts and anticipate customer needs
• Secure new business using a variety of methods, such as cold calling, email, trade shows, and referrals
• Work with sales teams to identify, develop, and articulate new business opportunities
• Identify and communicate sales opportunities throughout the organization
• Provide support to sales teams and individuals by preparing reports and presentations
• Assist with special projects and tasks as requested
Business Development Officer Responsibilities:
• Drive sales activity through business development efforts with companies or individuals
• Identify opportunities, research their requirements, conduct primary research, present proposals, negotiate deals, and close deals
• Coordinate activities with other departments such as Project Management and Finance
• Develop and implement strategic business plan to achieve revenue growth and margin expansion
• Keep abreast of market trends and competitive activities, maintain current knowledge of construction and real estate industry
• Assist with rent analysis, rent reviews, and lease renewals
• Utilize all business tools and systems, including but not limited to, Procore, CRM, Salesforce, and MailChimp
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date personal contact information on prospects, clients, and accounts
• Work to make business development efforts efficient and cost-effective
• Work closely with the company’s existing customers to develop long-term relationships
• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in FMCG and Banking
Requirements And Skills:
• Proven sales experience from independent contractor, sales representative or distributor background
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Ability to negotiate and collaborate with others in a positive manner
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills
