Tailor

Cut and sew women’s and kiddies’ garments according to measurements and designs provided. Make dresses, skirts, tops, trousers, two-piece outfits, gowns, and other assigned garments. Accurately interpret fashion designs, pictures, sketches, and instructions. Take and work with accurate body measurements. Draft, adjust, and work with patterns where required. Ensure proper fitting, neat stitching, and quality finishing. Pay close attention to details such as pleats, gathers, zips, sleeves, waistbands, hems, and linings. Make corrections and adjustments when necessary. Complete assigned outfits within the agreed timeframe. Handle fabrics and other materials carefully and minimize fabric wastage. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Properly operate and care for sewing machines and other equipment. Check every completed garment before submitting it for approval. Communicate any issues with measurements, fabric, design, or construction before proceeding. Follow Evie House of Fashion’s production methods and quality standards. Work professionally and respectfully with the business owner, other team members, and clients when required. Keep clients’ measurements, designs, and other business information confidential. Take proper care of fabrics, garments, equipment, and other materials provided by Evie House of Fashion. Be open to corrections, feedback, and learning new techniques. Perform other tailoring and garment-production duties assigned by the management. Key Expectations The tailor is expected to demonstrate neatness, accuracy, good finishing, attention to detail, creativity, speed, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions.
