2. Production Planning & Execution • Prepare weekly production plans at least 1 week ahead • Plan 6 weeks ahead for pop-ups, exhibitions, and major drops • Ensure alterations and customer deadlines are strictly met • Monitor daily workflow to prevent bottlenecks 3. Quality Control (Non-Negotiable) • Daily quality checks on: • Stitching • Fit • Finishing • Fabric usage • Final approval of outfits before handover to sales/customers • Reduce rework, wastage, and customer complaints 4. Tailor Management & Welfare • Liaise daily with tailors on: • Customer orders • Timelines • Corrections • Oversee: • Machine maintenance • Iron usage • Fabric handling and wastage • Maintain discipline, productivity, and morale 5. Inventory & Procurement Control • Manage all tailoring stock: • Fabrics • Accessories • Sewing materials • Conduct bi-monthly major sourcing/shopping • Track usage to prevent loss and overbuying 6. Business & Sales Collaboration • Work closely with the sales team on: • Customer requests • Feasibility of designs • Delivery timelines • Give performance projections for: • Ready-to-wear collections • Upcoming drops • Flag risks early (capacity, delays, cost issues) THE KIND OF PERSON YOU NEED (VERY IMPORTANT) Experience & Background • 5–8 years experience in: • Tailoring houses • Fashion production • Bespoke or RTW brands • Must have hands-on tailoring knowledge (not just management) • Experience managing multiple tailors at once Technical Skills • Strong understanding of: • Pattern drafting • Garment construction • Fabric behavior • Fit and finishing • Production planning & scheduling • Inventory and cost control Personal Traits (Non-Negotiable) • Extremely organized • Strong attention to detail • Calm under pressure • Assertive but fair with tailors • Proactive (doesn’t wait to be told what’s wrong) • Loyal to brand vision Mindset • Thinks like a brand builder, not just a worker • Understands that quality = reputation • Comfortable working closely with the MD/founder
