Laundry Ironer

Job Summary Courage Designs & Events is a design company seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented laundry associate. In this role, you will be involved in overseeing the activities of the washing personnel, ensuring an efficient and seamless workflow from the initial washing stage to final preparation. In addition, you will be in charge of ironing event fabrics, including table covers and seat pad covers, to ensure they meet our high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities Laundering and Ironing Operations ● Expertly press and iron all event fabrics, including table covers, seat pad covers, and other textile inventory to ensure a flawless delivery. ● Inspect all fabrics for stains, damages, or wear during the ironing process and separate items that require re-washing or repairs. ● Ensure all finished fabrics are properly folded, organized, and stored securely to prevent wrinkling. Supervision and Quality Control ● Directly oversee the activities of the laundering personnel who do the washing, ensuring all daily washing tasks are completed on schedule. ● Monitor the washing process to ensure the correct cleaning agents and methods are being applied to various fabric types. ● Conduct final quality checks on all laundered and ironed items before they are returned to general inventory. Operational Coordination ● Liaise daily with the warehouse team to ensure orders are pulled, prepped, and ready for dispatch or pickup on time. ● Maintain an organized, safe, and clean working environment in the laundry and ironing areas. Qualifications and Skills ● Proven experience in laundering, dry cleaning, fabric care, or a similar supervisory role. ● Previous experience in the event rental, equipment rental, or design industry is an advantage. ● Strong leadership abilities to effectively oversee and guide the washing personnel. ● Organizational skills and attention to detail. ● Physical stamina required to stand for extended periods and handle bulk fabric processing.
