Joiner tailor

We’re looking for a highly skilled Bespoke Fashion Joiner to assemble garments from cut pieces into clean, luxury-finish outfits. You will be responsible for accurate joining, pattern matching, neat seams, clean finishing, and garment structure, working closely with the Creative Director/Head Tailor to deliver premium bespoke pieces. Key Responsibilities • Join cut panels accurately according to pattern marks, notches, and sewing instructions • Ensure perfect alignment and pattern matching (lace, print, Aso-Oke motifs, stripes, etc.) • Sew and finish seams to luxury standards (clean inside finishing, minimal bulk, durable joins) • Execute and reinforce critical areas: bust, waist, hip, armhole, neckline, zipper areas • Install closures neatly (zippers, hooks, loops, buttons, corset lacing, boning channels where needed) • Perform fittings support: open/close seams, pin corrections, take in/let out, adjust balance • Press as you sew: maintain shape, avoid shine, ensure crisp professional finish • Maintain production quality control: check symmetry, seam allowances, stitch consistency • Work with delicate/high-end fabrics (lace, mikado, silk, organza, tulle, velvet, embellished fabric) • Keep workspace and tools tidy; follow studio timelines and standards Requirements / Skills • Proven experience as a joiner/tailor in bespoke couture • Excellent understanding of garment construction and sewing order • Ability to sew cleanly on industrial and/or domestic machines • Strong finishing skills (overlocking/clean finishing, lining joins, neat internal finishing) • Good pressing technique and fabric handling • Ability to follow instructions and deliver consistent, high-quality work • Time management: can meet deadlines without sacrificing finish • Eye for detail: straight seams, smooth curves, clean corners, balanced garment shaping • Hand finishing skills (invisible stitches, slip-stitching, hand tacking) • Ability to interpret patterns/toiles and adjust during fittings
